FUN FACTS:
* We beat all the other relay teams to take the team championship!!!!! (we were the only relay team)
* There were over 120 racers running the whole 100 miles solo, those are the true athletes!
* The man that won the race did the 100 miles in about 13 hours (as compared to our 22 hours).
* The #1 guy beat the #2 guy by over 2 hours!!
* Connie and Gretchen each ran their own leg (#1 an #2) and then ran legs #6 and #7 with no sleep between their runs for a total of 40 miles each!!
REFLECTION:
Each of us that ran on team Barkin Dawgs had to go outside of our comfort zone. Lani, Tanya and I had never done something like this before and just wanted to finish our 15 miles. Connie and Gretchen had never done anything longer than a marathon. Everybody in the race (not just our team) was super encouraging. For most of these people it is all about just finishing the race and they are all rooting for each other. Truly a classy bunch....who just happens to love torture! :-)
