Prep time: 10-15 min
Servings: several
Ingredients:
- 2 Tbsp. corn starch
- 3/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1/2 cup tamari sauce (or low sodium soy sauce)
- 3 tbsp splenda (or other artificial sweetener)
- 2 tbsp minced ginger
- 1 1/2 tsp minced garlic
- 1-2 tsp crushed red pepper
Instructions:
- Combine corn starch, rice vinegar and tamari/soy sauce in a saucepan and heat on med-high heat for a few minutes. The sole purpose of this step is to thicken the base liquid. Use your judgement for how thick you want it.
- Once your sauce is thick enough, turn off the burner and let it cool for a few minutes then add the rest of the ingredients and whisk together.
Note: This can be used as a salad dressing, over veggies or is an excellent stir fry sauce.
